Hola

I'm the newest one, and wanted to say hello.
Although it is not in my possession yet, I am about to join your noble ranks with a '78  750K8 (yes another one).
Many questions will follow I am sure. I was going to ask about seat interchangeability but found my answer while wading through
many old posts. The answer wasn't what I was hoping for.....

My current seat is the most glorious construction of metal, foam, and fake leather I have ever laid eyes on.
Unfortunately my rump won't do it justice, so I am either going to sell it or modify it significantly. If anyone would hate to see this
masterpiece dismantled, let me know. All that I desire is a somewhat more human sized version that would take it's place. (Ultimately I hoping to build a very poor mans cafe bike). One caution on the seat, I haven't seen the bike at this point, and it has been sitting for the past 10years and the below is a very old picture, not sure on the current condition.

Also, even though I am a fan of the Star Wars movie, and appreciate the Millenium Falcon, I don't think it looks right bolted to the front of my bike, so
I am going to rehome that guy as well.

Heres to the many headaches and the laughing of my wife in the future!

Welcome!  Why trash the seat?  It might make a suitable addition for a living room.  ;-)

Seriously, if you're going to rock the K/Q seat, THAT is the way to do it! :o  Go all out!

I wonder if there's a lever on the other side that you pull to lean back and raise the footrests for highway cruising? ;D

Next time on "When Bad Things Happen to Good CB's" we'll be taking a closer look at massive windscreens and even more massive seats.

 ;D

As a side note, if you're planning on going "po' man's cafe racer," I can spot a few points of weight reduction.
