old rider
« on: March 25, 2023, 05:03:23 PM »
Hello All,
First post, took almost a week to get approved.
I'm 63 and from central Pa. I have been riding Hondas since I was 14.
I have 9 Honda motorcycles ranging from a '73 CL350 to a 2015 F6B 1800 bought new in the crate in 2017.
I'm the family "tuner" as my two brothers have a pile of Hondas too.

I'm interested in using Hondamans ignition trigger in my '77 CB750  as an alternative to the Dyna electronic system.
I have a Dyna in my '73 CB750 and may put one in the '77.
Full disclosure, my '77 was my cousins bike and I put a Dyna in it about 7 years ago.  One side of it crapped out before my getting it and I put the points back in to run it initially.

I have a '78 CB750 with a Vetter fairing, side bags and a trunk in line for a rebirth as soon as spring gets here.
I've taken the carbs off and cleaned and reassembled them with the original jets but new orings and accelerator pump.

I've also got the carbs off a '77 CB750A and did the clean and redo in preparation for its rebirth by summer.
I bought a copy of Mark Paris' book to learn more about the nuances of these machines.

All the best to the members of this site!

Welcome aboard gunr from southern NH.
I too have several projects, one is a 78K8, a couple K6s, and a K4 in the process of bringing them back to life. I have a K5 that I ride along with my 08 GL1800. I also started young on Hondas.
