Now that's racing. They must have had slightly bigger balls in those days........look at all that armco right alongside the track, with little or no run-off in places.

I would agree. I sent this video to a friend of mine that races 600 supersport. He said pretty much the same thing!

Excellent post.  That video says a lot.  How much HP were those bikes making?

I just watched the video for the third time... and it gets better with every viewing.  I can totally dream about racing my CB750 like that.  140 HP with the tach bouncing off 10,500 RPMs... I love it.

Having the press communicate with the rider during the race is sweet.  Bring that back!

They used to do that in Australia during the James Hardie 1000 saloon car races ;D

I can remember Peter Brock, foot to the boards, pulling 180+mph down Conrod straight, cooly talking to camera as if he was just driving to the shops 8)

They used to be able to rotate the cameras in the passenger spaces too, so you could watch the drivers flailing away trying to avoid the rock walls through the mountain section :o 8)

It's so cool to watch races from back when it was a rider and the machine without all the computer bits to help.
