Looking at that photo I cant help but wonder if it's just a matter of someone had swiped 5 of the male bullet connectors. I count 5 nipped ends, and I count 5 empty female connectors. It might be that simple. 🙄http://www.vintageconnections.com/
Hi Johnie! I've been watching this and the red bike since the grandson first posted them on his YouTube channel a month or more ago. I'm so glad to hear that you are taking on this project. I have no doubt that you will give this bike the attention that it deserves. I'm looking forward to following along another "Johnie project". Congrats Johnie!The stators wiring plug is a source of failures that toasts the stator because dirty loose connections. Many will just totally bypass that connector block and solder the harness to the stator harness. Only time you need that to come apart is if you drop the motor out.CV carbs as you know have passages the size of a knat's ass and often clog causing running problems for carb operation. Need a good strong commercial ultrasonic cleaner to get the gunk out of any has developed.Might have pressed in jets which are difficult to remove sometimes. Some guys thread the top of the jet for a machine screw to gain purchase to pull them. Ezouts better be very good quality if you go that route or you're gonna wish you never seen them.CV carbs are a royal pita but perform great when clean.Just a few gotchas I learned while ogling and working on my 78 CX500 Plastic Maggot which has many similarities.Congrats on the new project... I've never understood the high heels and bathing suit thing. Here in Paradise it's flip flopsMost folks have many pairs, nice flip flops for going out, funky flip flops for working, etc.
