Top Tree Identification please
« on: March 25, 2023, 11:26:17 AM »
Edit..Question is answered 😊

Hey guys
I have a NOS top tree I bought from a friend last fall, I was hoping it was for the CB750K but it's not. The 750 has a different offset from the center shaft angle to the fork tubes. There are a few differences in the shape below the stem nut contact surface and where the fork tube clamps come off the handlebar bungs.
Can anyone identify it? Do you have pictures of one on your bike to help identify it?

The fork to stem offset is 45mm on a 500/550, 50mm on a 750F which has a wide gauge mount pattern and close center bolts for the ign switch mount. The 750 K has a 60 mm offset.
My 750 K1 had a cb500/550 triple tree with a longer welded stem apparently to influence the handling.

I do believe it is the 500/550 top tree.
I already found a 750 tree so I don't need another.
