US K8 project non runner just arrieved

Hi- over in Wales, UK and a few weeks ago I bought a non running US import K8.
A few bits missing- obvious bits are exhausts, airbox, centre stand. Fuel tank has been painted but surprisingly clean inside with no signs of filler work.
Im planning on getting her running right for the summer, and a full strip down in the autumn!
Chasing a spark issue at the moment, but getting some progress done! it came without a ignition key and it's taken me a week to get a correct one!
Interestingly, it has the (correct size for a K8) Comstar wheels fitted instead of the spoked ones, and the speedo cable is mounted on the left side, the same side as the single disc.
Were the Honda Comstar wheels a factory option over in the US in 1978?

No comstar wheels on the K models, only on the A and the F in 78.

 Those are reverse comstars, an A would have regular comstars an F would be rear disc . The speedo cable does seem to be on the left with comstars. I'd guess those came off of a DOHC bike. The airbox needs to match the late carbs, early roundtops have smaller inlet stacks and holes.
