Engine Snack

Started tearing into this mess of a CB650. there was a pretty bad oil leak that I hoped/assumed was an improperly replaced or rigged gasket (it was). Surprised to find someone's snack in there. Initially assumed they were toasted bugs, nope, sunflower seeds.

I wonder if they were salted or un salted.

 I bought a 750 once where the engine had munched its cam from a blocked oil port. The engine was already out and stored in a basement. When I uncorked the head I found this in a cylinder. Kind of looked liked pot seeds or something.  :D  After I did all the repairs member Sean was at the shop and took it for its real first ride and came back with oil all over the back of the bike dripping off (said I was trying to kill him  :D). That was caused by a wasp nest in the cam cover rubber vent tube. Got two surprises with that bike !!

In reality, I never said that.  In fact, I found the bike to ride quite well and never noticed the oil until I got back to Eric's. ha ha

Just wonderin': -could those be tests of other octane bio-boosters before corn got involved?

Maybe they didn't have the same pop as corn?
