Scammer alert
« on: March 31, 2023, 01:12:08 PM »
I feel like I need to report a scammer by the name of Ferdinand Kerman. I bought and paid for parts he claimed he had. Then he wouldn’t ship them. He also messaged me wanting more money. When I refused, he blocked me and posted a laughing emoji!! I’ve seen him respond to numerous people looking for parts. So buyer beware!!

He replies to inquiries made looking for specific parts on Honda CB750 sites. There are many sites that are nothing but buying and selling parts.

Seems to be plenty bottom feeders lurking to swirl around the drain with someone…

Sorry you had to experience one..

A scammer can have fake name accounts and create other in new names.
He can be located anywhere.

Trust an unknown person sending money is a risk.
Contact PayPal possible if paid for goods from a company or on eBay.

Private actors if possible to visit to see parts before.

Anyone you don’t know(or has very few posts to a site) responds to your wanted ad and says they got the parts it’s most likely a scam.

Always ask for VIDEO of the parts with them explaining what they are selling you. At least that way you know they actually have the parts. Photos are too easy to pull offline.

Never friends and family an unvetted person. Pay a few bucks more for the protection.

I bought and paid for parts he claimed he had.

How did you pay him? How much??

Paypal is the only safe way that I know of, but not "friends or family" pay.

Venmo or Cashapp will not help you if you fall victim to a scam.

Know of somebody who was scammed with the puppy deposit scam. They paid the deposit through Venmo. They were told by Venmo they'd have their money back in five days. Surprised.
