I am in the process of building my second retro cafe bike. I built the 1st one back in 1993 out of an RD400 that I had back then. Never got it finished and life happened. I just aquired a 1974 CB550K that is virtually unmodified that will be my base. Back in 1976 when I was 6 years old I watched my dad signed papers to purchase his 1st brand new motorcycle and it would have been about his 12 motorcycle overall at that point. He still has that bike and he built it into a cafe bike way back then. My brothers and I are in the process of restoring that 1 as well. Both should be fun projects.
