After 1970, when we assembled these bikes from their crates we were required by Honda to apply the 'Yellow Peril' 3M glue to the "afixed fasteners" as proof we did it (sometimes with photographs, because one shop I worked at was often delinquent - that was Honda's response). So, this stuff would show up on things like the axle nuts and the carb-adjustment nuts (carb vacuum balance checks at 300 miles checkup, at Honda's expense), even the handlebar clamp bolts (ugly, often removed).
