There a fellow on SW side of Boston who has some free parts on FB . He's in Medfield. He won't ship. They are Gl1100 parts and was looking at trying to help out Johnie's GL1000 project.
The rear air shocks he is definitely interested in, beyond that I am uncertain. Anyone willing to pick them up if they are still available and shipping them to Johnie for cost of shipping and a bit for your gas?

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,192293.new.html#new

Might be a nice ride to pick them up.

But you need to be a member to see the listing. I messaged the owner, parts are still available due to fellow whom was interested in a no show. Johnie wants the shocks and the carb guards. He cannot see the screenshot I posted of listing and parts...
Theirs a rear rack, looks like KG missing the wooden slats, front tender guard, carb guards, and air shocks.
Owners wants you to take it all...

Problem is the cost to ship those rails would be pretty high do to the size of the box. And if those shocks leak...well, I already have a pair that leaks. He wants me to take it all, but that I can't do. Thanks for the thoughts of helping me for sure.

I would imagine best to just take it all, junk what you don't want. That way box is small. Stuff them in a Medium USPS flat rate box.

Yes that would work as the box would be small with only the shocks and carb guards in it. I suppose we should find out if the shocks leak. Did he mention anything about that in the post?

I heard back from him that the air shocks did not appear to leak during his use. If they leak it was not apparent to him.
Going to ask him if they are gone or he marked them sold due to my telling him I wanted the parts.

Thanks Andy but I'll get this one.

We should try to get a group ride or a pub night in the works though.
