For years, early morning’s on the way to work, I’d often end up following a white Corvette, driven by a very nice looking lady, about 45 years old. This was long before vanity plates were common in Ontario. “1LU V69”. I swear.

I have this one. Got it off ebay some years back.
It came still in the original envelope, brand new, never issued for some reason.
However I can't use it on my K3 since in Texas you can only register a vintage plate that is the same year as the bike.

Spotted on the same day, different places:
On a 'vette: "MINE"
On an H-D: "NOTHERS"

My sister used to work at the tax office (where we get our plates) and collected some of the old plates.  I think this one could easily be issued to everyone in Texas.

From my observation, very often Corvettes have vanity plates.

The other day I saw LIVELRG  :)

My 750F has a White Sox plate that reads SOHC (only 4 letters/numbers on the motorcycle specialty plates). Years ago my '71 Bronco's plate was GDYUP71

Coworker in Ohio was a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan and got OSU personalized plates for CR-V that read BUCS.
Weekend of Michigan - OSU football game I  played a prank on her with a few strips of white reflective tape modifying the B to an S. She and her hubby were not amused.
My manager and friend sat on 2nd floor window office that overlooked part of the parking lot that day. I dropped by his office after I did the deed and asked if he could see her license plates. I could read it from his office. It was about 100-120 feet away. He opened a desk draw and pulled out binoculars and read it for a few moments. Turned back to me and I smiled. Told him I wouldn’t let her drive off with it that way. Likely to get you in a road rage incident in Columbus, OH as the rivalry was fierce.
I dare say they remembered that simple mod for a long time…
I wasn’t a Michigan fan, just poking a bear over how stupid sports rivalries are…

Wife is from MI, rivalry between Michigan and Buckeyes I learned about in early days of our dating.

Tody I saw Camaro with plate:

COPBHND  ;D

And in local TSC parking lot I saw:

NVDRZIM

In czech it reads Nevydržím - means I can't hold on - but the owner told me it says Invider Zim.
