Big thank you
« on: April 29, 2023, 11:08:35 AM »
Some of you may remember the wreck I had last July while taking my 75 cb400f out for its first ride after working on it for 3 years only to make it 6 miles before someone on a riding mower pulled out in front of me and over the bars I went. I've healed up and settled with the insurance so it was finally time to get the 400 road worthy again, the tank and new side covers still need painted (ordered paint today) but it is rideable. The only thing keeping from taking it out for a ride is because I'm waiting on new clutch and brake levers from DSS. The ones that were on the bike when I wrecked got broken and the ones I have on it now are old ones that were laying around but are bent as well, I just put them on to bleed the brakes and make sure all else was well. Shortly after the accident I made a post asking for advise on how to improve the front brakes on the bike and you guys answered my call with loads of great advise and support. Our very own Kelly E and Scottly came up with some of parts I needed to replace some that were damaged during the wreck, Kelly came up with seat and Scottly with a rear fender and they both cut me a great deal on them which I'm grateful for.. The bottom line is I want to thank all of you for your support on this, not just finding parts but the moral support I needed while dealing with the insurance. All I can say is there better not be a lawn mower in site when I take it out again. :)

Scott, glad you are doing better and the bike is on its way to being whole again. Hang in there and don’t worry about asking for anything, even if it is to vent.

Hopefully no lawnmowers will be in sight and you will have lots of good rides this summer.

I have seen riding mowers do what caused you accident onto highways and it amazes me how dumb some people are…
The gene pool isn’t thinned out enough yet I guess.
