Seat Question

Have a 1978 CB750F Super Sport. Noticed that this model apparently came with two (2) different seat possibilities; One with a line down the middle of the seat cover, and one without a line. Seems the one with the line came with a passenger strap, while the one without the line had the strap omitted. I thought the bike generally looked better with the strap, so I added one (picture enclosed). Not sure if this is "correct" or not. There were threaded holes for the strap provided with the original seat. Anyone have any input into this question? Thanks for any/all responses.

 That appears to be a replacement seat cover. It looks good but they weren't sewn from the factory, they had heat pressed seams with simulated stitching.  I like the bike by the way.

For a time I had the other seat cover (the OEM one) on a different tail piece, and the one on the bike now is a whole lot more comfortable.
