My favorite are European sport touring. They look a lot like PeWe’s but narrower. Back when K&N bent handle bars the European sport touring were narrow like the 400’s with drill your own holes. I like a palms down neutral grip for very long rides. The European narrow style leans you forward a bit so 70+ mph freeway speeds wind buffets don’t feel like you’re doing neck exercises with a helmet on.
Around town 35 mph with factory foot pegs stock stock with some pull back palms angle towards each other with straight wrist.
Bench racing in the parking lot big pull backs, palms facing each other like two handed drinking so you can rev her up, lazy boy wide seat sitting position.
The newer Honda 400 handlebar they’re using on the new 2014 cb1100 with mini bullet headlight fairings are too straight for me for in town riding. Feels like you’re riding a dirt bike with set back pegs on the newer 1100…but feel better at interstate speeds.. still a little to straight for +2 hour one way rides..
