Front brake bleeder screw
« on: May 12, 2023, 04:10:35 PM »
I am currently rebuilding the front brake.
I ordered parts from 4into1 for brake lines and
Caliper parts. Included was a new bleeder valve screw.
I rounded off the old bleeder screw of course.
This one is not the right thread pitch.
Does anyone know if this caliper is original and
Where to get a correct screw. Thank you.

It appears he has a 550.

It looks like this caliper body is an aftermarket.
Doesn’t look like ones on eBay.
This will make it trickier to find parts. I wonder if I should find an original used one?

You can head to the local auto parts store and find a bleeder screw to match the original. Easy enough. Looks like an 8mm 1.25 pitch.

I will try that. Thank you.

The bleeder size should be 10mm 1.25.  The oem Honda ones will rust over time in any type of wet environment.  I used stainless steel speedbleeders in my dual disk calipers.  The oem rubber cap fits right on as well.  The speedbleeder part number is SB10125-SS.

I measured the bleeder valve I needed.
M8x1.25mm x 30.1.
They didn’t have any at the auto parts store nearby so I ordered from
Amazon.
Thanks for everyone’s help!

Just a heads up, a lot of people (myself included) have the signature feature turned off because they can be really annoying.
