Portable sidestand discs are good to have. I had a disc welded to the bottom of mine. Removed enough material from the stand foot first to offset the thickness of the disc.

A handle cut from a cheap crescent wrench will work well too.

If you ever plan on parking your bike on anything other than cold asphalt or concrete, keep a small piece of plywood or a section of old license plate under your seat to put the end of your kick-stand on.

or the nifty little disc they handed out a the msf course works great.

Put a loop of Paracord on your disc or plate and tie a loop in the end and put it on your mirror or handlebar so you don't drive off and leave the disc/plate. If you put a neo magnet on the plate you can stick the plate on a steel piece of the bike if you forget to stow it under the seat and discover it after you pull away. Might wish to avoid sticking it on your painted tank...

A temporary phone charger or other accessory cord can easily be made using a two-wire trailer plug that fits into an on-board battery charger plug. You can feed it into your tank bag or even pocket if you remember to unplug before you get off and walk away.
With earphones you can keep your maps program going as long as it's needed and your phone will stay charged for when you arrive. I made mine with a female lighter/accessory plug so I didn't need to modify my phone charger wire.

Always keep a bottle of Lamp Oil in your shop. Kerosene is an amazing degreaser. Leaves a slight film to prevent rusting.

I bought some this week to flush out my CB160 forks without destroying the seals.
Thanks Bobby, we miss you.
