I friend (much better at electrical than I) and I installed an aftermarket starter button on my 750K5 and all was good for a few weeks. All of a sudden the starter kicks in while I had the bike idling in the garage. After turning the bike off, the starter would start cranking again when I would turn the key to the on position. The problem quit and after searching for a bare wire or short, we couldn't get the issue to duplicate, but then with no-one touching the bike and while looking for a solution in Hondaman's book, the bike started to crank with nobody near it while the key was in the on position. The aftermarket starter button seems to be smaller than the original horn button so I ordered an OEM button thinking it could be the problem. The solenoid seems to be ok but I ordered another just in case that is the issue. Any thoughts on what could be wrong before installing new parts when they arrive?
