Anyone using Murrays Mikuni carb set up
1980CB650 or 750. Look like a lot less hassle

I called him about getting a set for my 82 CB650SC. Haven't pulled the trigger yet because I'll need to move a lot of stuff around to fit the filters. Gotta rotate the battery somehow and figure out a mounting solution for the ignitor modules, turn signal relay, starter solenoid, and regulator/rectifier.

I think you'd have similar issues with your 1980 CB650, but I'm not positive what the under-seat situation looks like on your bike. I just know its quite tight on mine.

For the kind of money your would spend there on a replacement set, sent your originals to Mike Nixon aka The Motorcycle Project website. I can’t speak to Murray’s stuff, yet a proper clean set of correct carbs are not a bad thing.

I put a set on my 82 CB900F (now sold). They're ready to go out of the box and bike ran fine.
You only go around once in life so it might as well be on a motorcycle.

I don't think he is working on carbs any more.

I have seen a few bikes fitted with those at shows and what not.  None of them ran very good.  No idea if the owners ever got em sorted out or not.
If it works good, it looks good...
