engine painting
« on: March 13, 2007, 11:36:29 AM »
I have my 550 totally stripped, painted and ready to go back together.  I would like to repaint the engine as well so it looks as good as the rest of the bike, covers are already cleaned and polished.  Is it possible to do a decent cleanup and paint job on the engine without tearing it apart?  Engine is mechanically sound and I would hate to take it apart if I dont need to> ???

I don't see why you would need to disect the motor to paint it.
Just mask it off and rattlecan away !

after you paint it, dont shampoo your engine, the paint will peel

a good hand poilish job , works best, aluminum polishes well
