Back on my project
« on: June 03, 2023, 10:34:20 AM »
So I finally got back to my CB350F project. I tore the carbs down for cleaning and rebuild and found some rough cores. They're pretty corroded with what looks like some of the carb bodies disintegrated as some of the material is simply gone with quite a bit of black corrosion. So, can anyone guide me in a direction of a set of good rebuildable carbs? I did post in the WTB section but I thought that maybe there is a possibility of a web source for them. Thank you

Unfortunately, those carbs are not abundant.
If you find a set of CB400F carbs, they will work too - with your stock jets. However, anything with "400F" in the title instantly doubled the price.

You might have better luck searching ebay for the specific carb you need and just buying that part(s) instead of the entire rack.

Where are you located Mossy? United States in your profile doesn't get you help when needed ..... change that and you might find someone closer to you speaks up. Put at least your state. Include that in your wanted ad too.
I looked through your posts to see if you mentioned it and didn't see it and that you didn't introduce yourself in the new members section.
There's also a project shop section where you can start a thread on your bike and keep all your questions and answers in one spot. 😉
BTW did you find an oring for your petcock to the tank back in February? Those are still available from Honda.

As to your carb search...
There has been an ad on Craigslist in VT for some time of a project 350F for $400 that has cabs taken apart in a box. I have not seen it so cannot help out in condition of the carbs or if he will sell just the carbs. I'm in southern NH so it's a bit of a ride from me.
