How do you prepare the frame for same blasting?  Do I need to protect all the threads? With maksing tape?  I guess it's only top shock mounts.

Remove the VIN tag prior to blasting.
Are you doing it yourself or having it done?
When I've had it done at a shop they put silicone plugs into all the threaded holes to protect the threads.
Tape will not stand up to blasting.

I use sacrificial bolts to protect threads and bores.
I wouldn’t blast it with a commercial blaster or coarse sand.
A big bead blaster might be the cats mee yow…

Make sure you totally de-grease the frame. If you don't the sandblasting can drive residule oil/grease into the metal causing paint adhesion problems.
Use a DTM (direct to metal) epoxy paint, 2 part, for best results.

I usually cover any frame numbers with an aluminium plate held in place with duct tape or even if it’s just stamped into the frame and then tell the blaster to avoid blasting it. I’ve had six frames done so far without damage to the numbers. Any threads I screw an old bolt into and fixed threads like shock mounts I put an old nut onto, for the head stock I use two large diameter discs with a long bolt or studding holding them together to stop any media getting inside the frame. Press out any swing arm bearings or blank them the same way as the headstock. Make sure no grease is left as it can seep out if you have the frame powder coated as the heat causes it to melt and run out.

I had mine plastic media blasted, then used the rust conversion stuff on a few small places that needed that. Cool thing about the plastic media blasting is that it leaves the weld discolorations intact.

Old bolts work well, better than any plugs.
I covered the VIN tag with about 4 layers of Gorilla tape (or similar)
Worked great
Be careful with the interior of the swing arm, it's best to block off the hole.

Which bike is getting blasted? I guess your hardware store is out of paint stripper and wire brushes.
