What is this bolt?

1977 CB550
 Just changed both wheels. Had this part left at the end. It is possible it was from some other project but I want to be careful

Is there a threaded hole in the head end, if so it looks like a bolt that holds headlamp shell that an orange reflector screws into
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

That is what it is! I had a spare and when I painted the bike and reassembled I set it aside right where I was putting everything for the wheel change. Whew.

Thanks for the double check. I get paranoid when it comes to making sure there is nothing missing when I replace the wheels.

Almost everyone has a ruler.  Nice to see a size reference when taking a picture of a part to identify.

  Similar to asking "how long is a piece of String"?
