It is all I could do to maintain my sanity with my 350F build.  I LOVE the hawk looks...Parts must be a #$%*.  I have nothing against Brit iron, but it is no damn wonder that here in the states anyway, that Honda (and eventually others) all but burried them.  Honestly I mean no disrespect...I am cool with any and all two wheels, but I am a die hard Honda fan...with an occasional Suzuki tossed in for good measure.  Your Hawk is awesome!!!

Thanks! I've just gotten a seat cover from eBay. It ran about $45 and they had good feedback. I'm not totally thrilled about the font on the gold stencil. It just may not be exactly right, but the seat should look much better soon. I was so excited last weekend when I rode the bike down my alley. That was the first time I've ridden the bike. Its been a project for 7 years.
It did well considering, but it still needs lots of work. I'm so close to the finish!
I have to wonder what its worth. Technically the bike is part my brothers, but he lost interest long ago after split much of the expensive initial expenses. I think its the coolest bike to be on the street here in Ft. Wayne, IN. No one rides anything like this! 8)

         Hey CB,

Glad to hear that you're all hopped up about that Super Hawk. ;) I can still remember the CB72 Hawk that I had in the late 60's and it was a real blast to ride. The Super Hawk that I have now, isn't much to look at and not running presently (as you know). Once I get the parts to square my motor away, I'll start working more on redoing the rest of the bike. Main things I don't have for the frame are the seat, front fender, gas tank panel and knee pads. Oh, and that nifty looking little mud flap for the rear fender. Don't have the original style air cleaners and sure don't want to buy the ones I've seen on ebay for $99. :o ::) I don't have the original style headlight and gauges but, I'm gonna use those off of a CB350 like I did on my 66' CB72 back in 68'. Hopefully between what I can get from you, what I can get from a fellow over on 305.com and a fellow on ebay, I can get this bike together. I'd like the original front painted fender but, they are like gold on ebay and that's why I'm gonna try to use a CB160 front fender that I already have. It kinda has a "CR" look to me and I read somewhere that they were being used by some. Now, if someone has a CB77 painted (not chrome) front fender that he might want to trade. I'd trade a set of CB160 fenders in pretty good shape, for a CB77 fender. My CB77 is a 63' BTW.
                                                        Later on, Bill :) ;)

63' wow! Isn't that the first year? Bill, I have the resto guides for the Super Hawk and I thought you might like some copies of certain sections like the motor rebuild. These a Bill Silvers guides from the man who knows these inside and out. Let me know.

         Hey CB,
The best I have been able to find out is that they were made from 61'-67' (even though I have heard reference of a 68' model. I've heard of those guides and that they are very good. I would certainly appreciate those copies. I do have a Honda manual for the CB77 but I figure that every little bit helps, ya know? ??? If there was more of it, I'd make an attempt to do a restore. But, fact is, the missing parts are: front fender, both mufflers, the headlight w/ speed/tach, all handle bar controls, air cleaners along with the brackets, rear brake light switch, ignition switch, and that's about it, I think. I get back to you later on, I gotta get outta here for now.

                                                       Later on, Bill :)  ;)
