Can anyone tell if this is a repaint with a stock honda color?

I think the color looks similar to a 1973' CB350G twin;it looks like an excellent color.

From those 2 pictures it appears to be a repaint(no stripes on the tank is a clue).
New bike to you?
Not enough information given on your part to know if it is even a Honda color, year, model of 550.

New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

Might be the 550 Boss Maroon Metallic, as far as i know that was the only purple used by Honda on these, i have a nos tank but pictures never show the correct colour. Definately a repaint as no stripes or black panel
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

yep...and what color are the side covers...
what are the eng. and frame #'s...only way to tell what model you have, to know what color it should be...
