Hello. New member. White K3 1973
« on: July 06, 2023, 01:00:33 PM »
Hello

As requested, I have just joined.

Because my wife bought me a birthday present.  A 1973 k3 750/4.  It’s a 2020 US import to the UK and seemingly been well maintained/restored as a usable bike.  It’s not perfect, but it’s seems sound enough.   She went on eBay and clicked “buy”.... (with the help of a good mate ...).

I’ll be trying to ne hunting down an original exhaust (4 into 4) as it’s got a Harley style twin pipe thing at the moment and probably new chrome mudguards and some other shiny bits as I go.  It’s currently With the local shop to fettle whilst we go away for a couple of weeks.  I suspect it’s running too rich and the carb is suffering...

It’s not my first bike, but it is my first classic.  We also currently have

2019 rNineT
2020 GS Adventure
2020 Honda Monkey
2021 Ducati Scrambler
2011 Vespa LX

Wife also rides (latter three are hers..)

Based in UK and am mechanically inexperienced, but I am willing to try to  learn!

If I ask dumb questions, I apologise in advance !

Cheers.
