Is the cb750a seat the same as k bikes ?
« on: July 08, 2023, 09:43:31 AM »
Hi all
My journey continues. My bike came with a King and queen seat in poorish condition. I would prefer a bench seat, is it the same as any other models? I looked on the forum but my inadequate searching skills didn't come up with anything.

As an aside I was surprised at the current drawn with the ignition switch on and engine not running. Well I suppose there is the headlight, tail light, alternator control points and console lights ....

This comes after doing a number of starts and short runs then trying the bike and trailering home. Many thanks to my long suffering wife

Rock on
Jim

I believe the 750A seat is unique to the A models so you have to find a used A seat or there might be some places like https://texavina.com/ that make an aftermarket version.
Alternately you might be able to reuse the K&Q seat pan and have a seat rebuilt into something more pleasing.
Either way, expect to pay a few bucks.

I always look on partzilla, find the seat section and click on the seat itself. Scroll down and it will tell you what else uses that part. In this case 76 and 77A's each have a specific seat number for that bike.

No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
