Delkevic or Hindle systems are nice, not stock of course but a good solution.

It's too bad you ask now on exhaust  :'( as up until June 30th you could have ordered a set of Busso 4into4 repops for €850 shipping included. We are expecting them to ship in October.

Delkevic makes a great 4into1 for @$400. USD

I would have been okay with Delkevic 4into1 but they ship with UPS and there are horror stories about exorbitant brokerage fees for cross border shipping applied inconsistently.

Today I adjusted the valve tappets. The previous owner in his ad stated that he was meticulous in tune-ups. Sounds good, right? Unfortunately he was a bit ham handed and the tappet covers and tappet adjustment lock nuts were waaay too tight. On 4 of the tappet covers I needed to use a cold chisel and hammer on the perimeter. Also, the screw heads to adjust points and timing plate where mangled.

Try Hindle Exhaust in Port Perry, ON. I had one of theirs on a cb750F. I swapped it out for a stock system and am saving for my Rickman. Fantastic system and weighs almost nothing!

Great, thanks, I will!

edit: I checked their site and realized I'd emailed with this company and a fellow named Kemp. Does he work in Port Perry?

A new observation of the bike: The handlebars has a definite notchy-ness feel. I've done a steering head bearing replacement before on a previously owned 1975 CB750.

So Hindle isn't too far from you then? I do like their 4into2into1 header that tucks in closer to the frame than most 4into1 systems do. Less chance of hitting the lower pipes! Go for it!

Sorry…. No recollection of who. Suggest you give them a call. When the system went on the 750F, it went to their shop to be fitted.

15 minutes away!

Another option: I could y a parts 1974 cb750 on FB marketplace that is incomplete (no tank, side covers, seat, headlight, electrics) but does have a motor with carbs, wheels, bobbed frame and an RC 4into1 exhaust system. I just don't have any room to store it indoors. It'd be the same price as a new Hindle 4into1.

I visited Hindle this morning hoping to see an example of their product. Unfortunately this was their manufacturing site, not a retail outlet. They build to order in these buildings. An office worker suggested 2 to 4 weeks to completing your order.

That's what swayed my decision to buy the parts bike with the good R.C. 4into1 exhaust system. Hoping to pick it up Saturday.

Interesting that it takes so long. Good option to go with the parts bike!

That would presume Ripple Rock Racers has no systems in their warehouse ready to ship and all are built on a demand basis.

Worth checking but based on their ordering options, looks to me like they are built to spec in the place in Port Perry you visited.

The office worker said that exhausts were built to order. There were no already built exhausts sitting around for me to looksee.

This is the bike I hope to pick up tomorrow. Buying primarily for the exhaust system. R.C. Any experience with this manufacturer?

R.C. is huge vintage racing supplier, been racing them for a long time, or did. They were well respected. If the RC Engineering system is giving you good ground clearance for street use, then that's great!
Kerker is another supplier many like.

Hindle systems are really nice and quite a bit more expensive than Delkevic exhaust systems.

I have a R.C. Engineering exhaust on my K6 project bike(motor needs a rebuild) The chrome is rusty on the exhaust so I haven't used it. It is well built. They were a great system in their day.
R.C Engineering had a large contingent of high performance products in the day for the CB750 (and other bikes).

Russ Collins drag raced to push the envelope on his 2 and 3 motor drag racer bikes. His son Russ Jr, who also drag races still, is rebuilding the 3 motor bike known as Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe and the 2 motor bike known as the Sorcerer.

Got the parts bike today. Bought primarily for the exhaust. It was a long and bumpy ride home and the exhaust came loose. Luckily interference with the front wheel kept it from falling off completely. That would have been a disaster.

Delkevic is a decent 4into1 system and about the lowest cost exhaust to fit

https://www.ebay.com/itm/182474158298

+1 on Delkevic.  I run it on the 900, very happy with it.

Hello Prokop

We rode a few miles together on that trip didn't we?

No, I don't think I'll be doing another trip of that scale again. That was a bucket list adventure.
