What's this on a cb750
« on: July 15, 2023, 08:36:29 PM »
What is that thing hanging off the left side of the bike covering the side cover? Looks like a portable radio?

Also, aftermarket cruise control?

Looks like a hell of a good time.

Looks like a CB radio?
I used to have mine in the LH side pocket of the Vetter. I could use either a shorty antenna (1/16 wave wirewound) if I just wanted to listen, or I had a Long Ranger that I would connect to the side of the sissy bar if I wanted 2-way.

Turn signal ears getting bent would be costly fix given how hard it is to find good ears.
Interesting rider confidence, must be a lone 4 lane highway without big trucks to blow you off course passing.
Taken during a time when front crash bars were not viewed as an uncool thing...

That could have been an 8 track or cassette player radio??? They were the high tech listening devices of the day.  8)

only being able to sit on that one spot on the seat would kill me and having this level of confidence in the bike, with his legs up this high at speed, using the little stock turn nob cruise control is wild #$%*. I like having my legs up there but with my hands on the bars still.

Does not look comfortable.

Tank bag will make the long ride in higher speed comfortable ;)
Like down here, north Italy, just from Austria.

A friend sitting behind me sat as a king with arm rests.
No problem to ride >1000km/day on German autobahn.

Did 1850km without sleep when going back home. Started from Kitsbuhel, Austria the last distance.

Only rest (except gas refill with coffee/food) was a few hours on the ferry Germany-Denmark, 200 km ride and another ferry, 30 minutes max.
Badly crimped wires to coils started to show then. It healed after 30 minutes...
Mostly over 160kmh all the way after we left Austria.
Even faster in Sweden in the early morning keeping the sleep away.

Micro sleep happened ... My friend helped me to stay awake .. knocking my back .

My today blue K6, avatar bike. Then with 836cc.
