350F Alternator Puller
«

The shop manual calls for a "special tool", but it looks like I just need a 15-16mm fine thread bolt. Does anyone have the exact specs for the bolt. Thanks.

18mm thread according to the description of this tool.
Must be fine thread.

Here the bolt version of M18x1.5
Probably correct.

I bought a bolt for CB750.
I had to use cheap wheel impact wrench to first remove the bolt, then in with the tool. Fine thread bolt.
The alternator flew out when using the impact wrench.

18x1.5. Measured the Honda tool. Actually 17.7mm thread diameter but close enough to be nominal 18mm.

Great! Thanks for the info. I Googled that spec and it turns out, of all places, Ace Hardware sells a pair of lawnmower wheel bolts that have M18 1.5 threads for $4.95. I’ll let everyone know if it works.

Sometimes the only challenge for bolts is for the threaded part be threaded far enough...

You do need HT and not MS bolts
