Topic: Good Quality Carb Boots

So about a year and a half ago I replaced my carb boots as needed, and it was from a set off of 4into1, I believe. I didn't overtighten these boots at all, but after having a stumbling idle issue I inspected the bike and noticed that the boots are beginning to split down the seam in the middle. I've had bad parts from that site before, and on top of that I've heard some of the boot sets are cheaply made and not worth the money (which I found out after the fact). Where does everyone go for a good set of boots? My bike in question is a '74 550.

I would recommend South Sound Honda Olympia, WA. Get OEM parts at good prices. I bought Honda boots from them and there is noticable quality difference between Honda parts and stuff you get other places.

I'm sad to hear that the 500/550 boots from 4into1 are failing, too. Their 750 boots are similar, lasting about 18-24 months.
