Thought it interesting and others might like to see it...

O......K I stuck with it til the end and saw the plug for rotary phase converters. It is 2023 not 1973....VFD are the way to go today for lots of 3 phase machines.

By VFD, do you mean solid state converters? I live out in the sticks, got a price on 3 phase to my house; $120k. It was loads cheaper to buy three of these (one for each machine) https://www.phaseperfect.com/original/230-volt/pt030/

I have run two machines on one in a pinch (capacitors failed, replaced within a couple days)
Two VMC's (Kitamura and DMG MORI) and a twin spindle Doosan Lynx  8)
Current Project: CB750-K6 (hoping for OEM look)
Future Project: CB750-K8  (likely go wild on this build)

Some fun ideas if you have the equipment.
Would love to make some tops to give as gifts, but no lathe.

Yeah, you can get a VFD for about $150 that will run a mill: i did that for one of the last machines I built as a perfeshinal Controls Engineer - before I quit that to become a garage mechanic after Covid.
