Cheap one (Dyna-S style) available here:
$53.20 US
https://www.ebay.com/itm/195656867838?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=si3as55etqa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=XgCEg0CPSya&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

My $52 dyna copy is still working great. Probably got about 1000 miles on it so far.

I put one of those on a bike I sold a year ago to a good friend (he is NOT a mechanic). Working a treat, so far.

Yep, I've bought 3 Dyna knock-offs and installed one into my K0 thinking that the Kokusan (Japanese) electronic ignition had failed after 3 years, but it turned out to be a coil. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

And my newly acquired Tytronic for the cb400F lasted maybe 20 miles today before it dropped 2 cyls. Got the bike home and noticed one of the modules wasn't flashing so I waited for the engine to cool down for about an hour and it fired right up on all 4 cyls. I'm pissed now because this ignition is obviously junk. Back to points.

I know, I'm a glutton for punishment but I decided to be a guinea pig again and bought one of those cheap Dyna DS1-1 clones for my 400F. I had to finish the machining to the rotor that came with the Tytronic and guess what? The rotor that came with the cheap dyna clone didn't fit either but it wasn't because it wasn't finished, but rather it's bore was too big to fit properly on the 400's mech adv. Thinking that maybe they sent me a rotor for the advance on a 550/750, I went through my spare parts and found the advance mech for a 750 ....... but the rotor was too small for it so on the lathe it went to open it up. Once I got it fitted and installed on the bike, it runs great. Longevity remains in question but so far it's lasted twice as long as the Tytronics did. Right now I'm sorting out carb tuning issues but I'll make a separate post for that.
