Newbee need help with Engine frame numbers
« on: August 20, 2023, 11:44:14 AM »
Hi everyone,
Newbee from the UK, (even though i am 64), got rid of all my all british stuff as I cannot kick the things over and have been offered a K4 but there are 11000 numbers between the engine and frame numbers. I understand that they should be near but I think thats quite a lot.
All help appreciated

Welcome from the little pond called Lake Superior,

Frames and engine numbers never match.   Someone might know of a database that will tell when the engine was manufactured.

Howdy! Welcome.

Yes, an 11K difference sounds like a bit much. It is possible it's not the original engine.
