Sorry I see it now. Reread 737 and Dave recommendations. I’m not sure where your junction point is looking at you picture . If it were mine I would hook the battery + cable to  one of the large terminals of the starter solenoid. While you’re doing that slip your 40amp fuse + supply to the mUnit on this same terminal to keep your runs short. If it keeps shutting off after this you’ll have to disconnect each of the power wires you have at the m units positive terminal, your using as a common junction, and checking each for ground potential..

Keep working on her, she give it up. She’s just making you work for it.

Because I don’t see the battery cable feeding one side of the starter solenoid on the schematic. Like Dave and 737 indicated..

Because there isn't one.

Didn't realize I needed 2 cables coming from battery POS - one to m.unit and the other to solenoid. I posted my diagram a few times before and no one mentioned it so I thought I was good.

So I'll just have to run another cable from battery POS to Starter Solenoid.

What is the minimum awg of cable I can run from battery POS to Starter Solenoid,  10 or 8?
Thankful for everyone on this forum. Grateful to continue to learn so much.

Sorry using my phone.

Use battery size cable going to the starter solenoid. The starter is your biggest load.
Like Scootch said what she said. 😁 especially for the longer runs. Your 836 and have a high performance starter. Send her the juice with the large cable 😁.

Tap the m unit to the same solenoid terminal. You maybe able just to use the supplied leads on your 40amp fuse to provide + power to it. No farther it is, as you’ve laid out your components..😁

You only need to use 10awg wire, nothing larger is required.

Here is the correct routing of the wires to/from the solenoid.

Ellz10,

Post a picture of your + battery cable after you get her done..

This is a local place. This is what you were asking for.
Someone said 70amp for the starter not sure if that what yours can do cranking an 836.

Fine strand battery cable may do better but you can use this as a reference. Remember this chart is for continuous loads,  not intermittent starter loads.  Cold weather hard start kits for equipment and trucks always go up in conductor size or use dual standard cables..

It has nothing to do with how his battery is wired. His problem is wiring off the solenoid. If he would follow the diagram sent plus the duplicated advice in this thread and his other, he’d be riding, not blowing fuses.

Someone OKed his schematic. I’ll re-read the post. I’m sure he said this was his first wiring project..

I just wanted to see the 4 or more wires terminated at the battery like in the linked schematic. I’m not sure where his battery is. 😁 Looks like he’s doing a good job..

These bikes are wired with the pos from the battery directly to one side of the solenoid, that solenoid terminal is also used as a tie in point that feeds power to the rest of the bike. The other side of the solenoid goes directly to the starter.
Let us know how it works out.
