Speedo & Tach

Daytona Velona 60 Speedo and Tach, separate gauges.

Just need to know if the RED 12V wires go to AUX on the INPUT side of the m.Unit or the OUTPUT side.

It states it needs to be connected to what gives current when the main switch is turned on, and since AUX on the OUTPUT side gives 12V switching power, I would guess that the RED wires go to AUX on the OUTPUT side.

Am I correct?
Thankful for everyone on this forum. Grateful to continue to learn so much.

Sorry but I'm late to this conversation.  I'm wiring in my m.unit and thinking of going with the 48mm Daytona gauges.  I like the idea of losing the mechanical gauges and going electric with the a speedo adaptor that plugs into the existing front wheel sprocket.  I am using the stock front end.  From what I gather this is pretty much plug and play.  Am I wrong about this?  What adapter would I use?

Deal.  I have 78 cb750k with stock front forks and wheel.  Also I was mistaken, I'm going with the separate Daytona Velona 60mm tach and speedo just like what was being discussed.  I should have proof read what I was posting.

I found on another post where you were discussing the adapter that fits where the OEM speedo cable attaches to the front wheel and noticed it is 1800mm long.  I hope that can be trimmed down. Has anybody installed this?  Other than that is it as plug and play as it seems?  I'm really not into making brackets and such to distract from the stock/vintage look.

I completely agree.  My stock cable is about 40".  However, I have seen this item on a chopper website as well.  I will have to inquire about trimming.
One more question,  is there another adapter needed for the tach?  I couldn't find one.

Contacted Daytona.  The piece can be trimmed but voids warranty.  :-\

I plan to zip tie it all up until I have it running.  Take it for a test ride and if all is good then go for voiding the warranty.
