Are these available anywhere?
« on: July 26, 2023, 07:33:05 AM »
Guys,

As I'm putting my carbs back together on my 350F I remembered I needed these rubber things (I have no idea what they are called) but the ones that were on there were cracked and hard. Are they available somewhere?

Thank you

Thanks guys. It doesn't sound good so is there any problem with reassembling the rack without those pieces?

For normal use no, the consensus is they are to keep dust etc out

I too looked for those a few years back, same result -nada.
Sound like an opportunity for someone like https://claussstudios.com to make some reproductions.

They are the only people to call it a dust plate, should be a steady plate and connects each pair of adjusters together, yes the rubber bit comes with the adjuster but have you seen the price at over$200 and you need 4!
And you can get those plates from ebay or 4 into 1

Yes, they are available. Expensive little buggers, I think around $80 a set, but they can be purchased from Custom Paranoia in Japan.
Seiji san speaks a little English and has sent me some in the past.

Custom.paranoia@maia.eonet.ne.jp

You can tell him I sent you. Won't help you any, but you can tell him :-)

Just a follow up from the advice posted by Kevin recently. I have just received my CB350F link/dust plate seals from Custom Paranoia in Japan. As per Kevin's post, I contacted Seiji San in Japan and he directed me to his Yahoo Auction link; https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/1095079996
One of my work colleges recommended that I become a member of https://www.jauce.com/ to facilitate the transaction. This system worked well and the Friday just gone I received the parts. Expensive yes, but certainly worth the effort. Cheers.

Neat. Good to know they're out there.
So ~$10 each. How much was shipping?

Be prepared for a shock, all up purchasing, shipping and handling through https://www.jauce.com/ was 13,099 Yen, $148.23AUD or approx $95.61USD.
Here is the auction link that I think is still active;
