Running Keihin CR special roundslides on stock CB750K1
« on: July 26, 2023, 11:00:48 AM »
Would appreciate a little advice on hooking up my CR29 special racing carbs on my stock 750K1
I’m an amateur bike mechanic and I’m a little confused on hooking up my fuel lines and I have other spigots on carbs that look like a vacuum line would hook to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers 🍻

I have no idea but you have CR29s??? I wanted some of those but I'm too poor.

Hook up the fuel line and you should be ready to go. Well, that and the throttle cables of course. Yeah, I've simplified it.

Those "vacuum line" ports are likely to be the bowl vents. Connect a small hose to them and run it up and over to behind the airbox. They need quiet, still, non-moving air (which is higher pressure than moving air) to pressurize the float bowls above the nominal pressure in the airbox, so as to actually push the fuel up the jets (i.e., normal carb operations).

Some of those special racing carbs don’t prioritize any idle or low speed circuits….🤔

But wfo is WFO….😁
