Topic: Could this cause gas to get into my oil?

After taking apart the carbs.
I removed the float needle seat and this piece of something b that looks like thread lock
Was under.
How could that get back there?
This is in carb 3 and that was overflowing sometimes.
Also I’m getting fuel into the oil.

I replaced the seat and float needle with an oem old stock.
Hopefully that will resolve the issue.

Anything is possible, but some things are less probable than others, if the carb was flooding gas gets into oil

I thought if it was coming out the overflow, and the seat and float needle are working properly, the gas won’t get into the intake?

If it is coming out of the overflow the seat and needle CAN NOT be working properly

Is there a screen on the petcock inside the gas tank? Liner?

 If there is gas in the oi I'd say odds are it came from there. A bike on the side stand moves the bowl levels around and a leaker will do what it should not do.
  I like the 75/76 750F float valves that have the little screen above the float valve. I have seen the same model carbs on K bikes also, I always wanted to try them on other carbs.

Since that big flake of whatever was on the backside of the needle seat it actually would have more of a tendency to plug the hole  then cause a leak unless little pieces smaller then the hole were breaking off and getting stuck on the needle end..
