Steve is making a murder cycle for the grandkids with 212cc, gotta stop as well as go. Lemme at RevZilla played with these kind of cycles several years ago and I think they dropped a Predator 250cc motor in one. Lemme is crazy though...

 I saw it and looked for a while, The 3hp when it was running scared the grandma half to death. We'll give it a try with the little motor. and the XR70R will be the step up.

 I have it ready to go except the 5/8" to 3/4" clutch adapter sleeve which is due tomorrow. I got the little motor on, the Honda seat bolted on, it starts and runs. Kill switches wired, etc. Hopefully it also stops good enough.

 Success! The two small grandkids rode the minibike today. We began with them rolling it downhill with no motor, next we started it on flat ground. The cheapo brake lever keeps loosening from the handlebar, and they are used to a quad with a thumb throttle but all in all it's a success.
 Both were a little overwhelmed and found it difficult to turn, so do I. I got them on the Honda XR70R, they didn't ride it but they are nearly as close to touching the ground on it. Next spring for sure.

 I rode it today with the harbor freight engine. I added a brace under the rear of the seat so my large mass doesn't bend the seat pan. Someone here might recognize the seat, it came from a free stuff ad. If you do, thanks again.

  Thanks, I went with the bike by a 12 year old theme. Those old china made controls are almost too junky to use. The kids are used to a thumb throttle, I might put one on it or a real bike throttle.

 I turned the XR70R and the Cat minibike over to the grandkids today, My grandson got on the minibike and promptly headed towards the house. We got him stopped, talked about the controls turning and the kill button, and then when he said he was ready, he rode it right up an oak tree. Seriously, up a fricken tree.
 The front tire climbed up, and then rear tire was literally on the tree trying to go up it before it fell backwards. He and his bigger sister both rode it last year at my house, I guess target fixation got the best of him. I left the XR70R there for Mom and Dad to ride while the kids learn from them. 

 We named the minibike the Raccoon!

Don….. My grand daughter’s best friend was up for the weekend. Her Mom has an e-bike, but she said the motor bike was MUCH MORE FUN! They used them for two days solid and one broken reflector was the total damage (hit a tree). Never touched their phones. Check out the smiles. My grandson used up two gallons of fuel in the CRF250 too. Wow.

 I haven't given up yet, I'm going to work on the dad to ride the XR70R and then get him on it.
