I've fallen in love with a DOHC.  I know, I will never forget the SOHC, but this bike is just calling my name...

I know, it vibrates like hell.  I know it's not an SOHC.  But just knowing that if I wanted to pull a wheelie at 70 MPH on a 28 year old bike (not that I ever would...  ;D) makes my mouth water.  So long, tax refund!   :D

Apart from potentially suspect electrics on the bike that motor is pretty well bullet proof, assuming a modicum of care and feeding has happened through its life.

I had it's baby brother (GS750) for several fun filled years.

a buddy at MMI had a gs1100e... super fast and didn't vibrate like you talk about.  at least i don't remember it being overly vibratious.   ;)

the only thing i don't like is the tail section... it hangs way to far over the rear of the bike.  other than that, i wouldn't kick one out of my garage if someone left it there
