1978 cb550 four k3 ( USA import) Choke rod spring
« on: August 28, 2023, 12:13:46 PM »
Hi
I  pulled the carbs, and realized its missing this spring. I'm told its not sold separately by most bike part stores online. But hoping someone knows otherwise. Its the smaller gauge spring on right.

Thanks

Brian

It's true that it's not sold as the spring alone. It comes as part of(#3) 16032-404-425 which might still be available (Doesn't show not available) so contact South Sound Honda  to see if it is available.

I see your in Ireland, so a bike breaker in the UK or Europe maybe your best bet. You will need to purchase a broken partial set if possible or the complete rack. That spring is universal on many of the Keihin carbs from the late 70’s to the mid 80’s. The part maybe available new as suggested above, yet I expect that assembly will be expensive if it is available.
