Is there anyway to get the small screw out of the carb slide on the early style carbs for Cb750. Starting to round out.

Down inside that holds the needle down ? I tore apart a set of carbs and found a red loctite on that screw. But I gave it a bath in the hot ultrasonic then tapped a good JIS screwdriver into the screw with a hammer, then it came out. Benelli said he has boiled a few to loosen up that screw.

Vessel makes a normal looking screwdriver that is an impact screwdriver, I have not bought any yet.

Would need to make sure it is JIS.

Yes, be sure to use a JIS screwdriver. A Phillips will ruin it.

Yea, used set I bought. Someone has been in them before. Was using my JIS. I didn't try tapping on it though.

If they used loctite you might be able to see it from the bottom side. I know somebody had been inside the set I got from Ebay because the mainjets were Nylon or some other white plastic LOL.

Use some heat on the bottom of the threaded part in the slide and a proper JIS screwdriver that you tap into the damaged threads and it should release. Even if there is no Loctite the varnished gas on the threads lock it into the slide body.
Common sense.....isn't so common!
