That is amazing. This is right up there with macrame hats with pieces of beer cans sewn into them. Ah, childhood. (snicker)

What?  Are none of you going to "drop a gear and disappear"?

Well played. I might have to get a new license plate frame, just to write that one on...

I found this old photo of me wearing a Bud Man t-shirt and my old motorcycle helmet.   I was probably about 10 in this pic.
I still wear motorcycle helmets.

The 70s were a great time! Insane patterns (by today's style) on pants, jackets, and even shirts back then.

Haha!  Judging by the Christmas thing on the wall this would have been late 1973.  I think I had a few pairs of pants like that.

70's were an awesome time to be a kid. Those years got a bad rep from Disco, but a lot of amazing rock songs came out then too.

Sure was.  We had moved to Texas at the beginning of the school year.  My dad bought me a Yamaha Mini Enduro, 60cc.  Hence the helmet.  The clear visor didn't last long.  We didn't know about private property back then.  I rode that thing all over the place.  I used to side saddle it down the sidewalk in the neighborhood in case I saw a cop I could jump off, kill the engine and act like I was pushing it.  There was a big sand pit in the woods where we would ride often.  If you wanted to get out of the bottom you had to jump your way out.  The sides where steep.  I wiped out on that little Yamaha so many times...but never broke a bone.

I did the math.  This photo was actually December 1972.

Aw dang, I should have lived in your neighborhood! Only had a bike, but jumps were the best -- whether playing "Evil Knieval" "Chips" or "Dukes of Hazard"
