The kids bike is fine for now but i see a rebuild in its future.

RAF mentioned to ask first about parts from 4into1 in a new member post, so I am asking....is this worth it?  Not looking for anything spectacular, it will not be really ridden at night.  Will probably and eventually replace the bulb with a LED.

Hey Rick...most of us avoid buying the cheap chinese crap [CCC] from them, but it's only twenty bucks.  I'd ask about warranty before buying. 

And BTW - halogen lamps generally draw significantly more power from the elec system, maybe LED is a better choice?

When it comes to the CCC stuff, I hear ya!  Having three Jeeps and a Dodge, I learned my lesson long time ago.  But, that was mostly with electronic stuff.  Yup, I am aware that the halogen bulb will tax the system more than LED.  I was really just looking for the headlight shell to replace the sealed beam so we could do the LED bulb.   Funny thing, it is $20 through that link and $35 on Amazon.

Avoid 4-into-1 like the plague, will keep you from buying twice...their stuff is cheap Chinese crap and doesn't hold up if it works.
Headlights you would be better off getting a Valeo (Cibie) E code or Similar from eBay, the optics on a good glass lense make a huge difference. If you get someone's repacked crap like I once got a Hella in the Cibie box and I returned it.it was a discounted lamp but someone pulled a fast one on the return. Valeo bought Cibie several decades ago, Cibie has some of best inexpensive optics available. Crisp cutoff, no scattering and good quality.

I don't cheap out on primary headlights, tires and brakes, nor oil..

Thanks for the info, I will dig further.  Couldn't really find much "Valeo (Cibie) E code" or similar to that search criteria yesterday.  Hella 7" round E code H4 did pop up a lot.  I know to stay away from that particular headlight shell and focus more on the tried and trusted ones, even though they cost a bit more.

We put the steering stabilizer on the kids bike that I picked up from bikerbart a donkeys age ago. It was originally going on momma's bike but never did. Glad it is getting used.

It seems to be running okay.  Idle is getting stronger.  I guess since he has been riding it, rings are loosening up?!?  Took a bit to locate an oil leak, got that fixed.  Oiler screw was way out.  Shut that off and it stopped.  Turn signals still act stoopid, may need buy a new bar switch assembly. 

Other than that, it seems good!  For now.  :O

Yeah, they tend to run better when ridden regularly....

JTMarks on eBay has decent prices on good quality aftermarket switch assembly... Occasionally they will send you a discount offer, don't ignore the offers as they are limited time offers.
They often have OEM switch assemblies too, but at OEM like prices if you can afford them.

Thanks for the info RAF!  I found JTMarks and they have that same controller for $1 more but has free shipping so it's cheaper than VintageCB750.  What sux is that the controller was new to begin with.  We just took too long to mount it.
