Topic: Front fender as fork brace

I'm looking to ditch the front fender on my 72K CB750. Does removing this fender make the front forks much "looser" ? Is it noticable?

 Yes. You can cut out the center section and run just the brace part.

They may still offer aftermarket fork braces too.

I always preferred the slider mounted types over the fork tube clamp types.

The slider type didn’t seem to have the binding trouble when fully compressed and was somewhat adjustable.

Do you have K0-K2 forks with the "C" shaped caliper brackets, or the later forks with the "T" shaped brackets?

Rookster - Thanks for the link got to about page 5 and I'm ready to drill out the rivets and just keep the brace.
Scottly - I have the "T" style.

The easiest test I’ve been shown, with or without rubber washers.

With the front tire, front axle, and front fender off the bike, try to move the right slider independently from the left…

Replace front fender, with or without rubber washers, try to move the right slider independently from the left….
