A few weeks ago five of us put 1,060 kilometers on our dualsport motorcycles (BMW,Yamaha, Honda, KTM and Husky) following “The Pick Ax Loop” starting off in Barry’s Bay. About 375 km’s of gravel back roads, logging trails and fire routes. Absolutely stunning country and exciting roads. Stayed and ate at recommended spots, no disappointments. In Arnprior we stumbled on PJ’s Family Diner (since 1973!) and had a really great dinner. Simple but perfect for five hungry (and thirsty) guys.
When on the website, get them to send out one of their free maps. Well worth having! One of the boys made up a decal to commemorate the long weekend.
