RIP Suzanne.....
Dont really remember the show, but had a funny concept for the day. Apparently she was written off the show for wanting equal pay to her male co-star.

She wanted the pay of John Ritter on Three's Company. That didn't sit well with the top brass.

Wow that's a loss, RIP Gorgeous.
I understand she brought quite a bit of her stand-up comedy persona to the Chrissy character and after she parted ways with the show the Studio lawyers told her they owned the character and she wouldn't be allowed to perform that routine.

and heres something most 'muricans probably don't know
the whole thing was ripped off an English show, Man About The House, they just changed the character names a bit and made it less funny to avoid copyright issues

That shows the legal power the studios had back then and still do to some degree. Recording producers also. Even today, many musicians don't own their music. I read that the Monkees didn't even get residuals for their TV show.
There were some epic struggles with performers trying to get equal / fair pay and ownership of their own acts.
