CN400F Project
« on: October 28, 2023, 07:38:48 AM »
Hello All and thank you for the invite. Picked up a 1976 400F with 6000 miles over in Arizona a few months ago and will try to make it a good looking weekend rider. Don't ride much these days anymore and sold the bikes that I used to ride quite a bit (2006 H-D and 1982 KZ1000J). Have been restoring Suzuki two strokes for quite some time and have never done a Honda. Only Honda I've ever owned actually was a 1979 CB750 dual cam. However, when I was going to Penn State Fayette Campus in 1974, my best bud had a 350F wile I had a GT380 just like the one in the pic (actually built this one from parts to replicate my old one). Always loved that 350F and would prefer it just for the look, but this 400 will do.

Will have lots of questions and do appreciate all the help I'm sure to get here.

I like the 350F better cosmetically but the 400F has its advantages too. Bob's Salvage in Phoenix had a couple in the yard, but I picked em over pretty well (and they've reduced the size of their yard signficantly, but there might still be one out there or at least parts if you need 'em, as well as plugs, cables, tune up and carb kits, etc. Good folks.

Again welcome aboard the forum
That's a great looking 400 you found. A fun bike to ride too.
I started riding on the street on a friend's GT380, a teal 72. I had charge of keeping it exercised while he was deployed in 73 and 74.
Have fun on bringing your 400 to life .
