I don't know yet if I have an extra yet as I have the 76 projects and only have eyes on 1 set.
BTW 75 and 76 use the curved mount, where as 74 and earlier are straight brackets
That is good to know.
I have bought a few complete sets from Yamiya. Not expensive and good with spares. Straight model.

I had to have a look. I found an old ugly curved one in a box with old stuff I had used in the 80's.
Can be my K6 stock peg.

Guys….Thanks for checking. I obviously had it a few weeks ago when I was asking about the starter motor safety switch, because it appeared in this photo (Nov. 9/23)! That’s definitely the left side passenger peg. I’ll keep looking for a while!

Cleaned up the shop and found that missing passenger foot peg! Sorted everything for the S/C, Rickman and the K6 in separate totes. Completely cleared off both my main work benches too. Back on track.

Next step will be to build a clean set of carbs and it also needs an advancer, points, plate, rotor, etc. I do have those set aside. I might just short cut and install an EBay electronic points set. The ones Terry always uses seem a “cheap and cheerful” solution. I’ve never used them and  I’m curious.

Foot pegs, kicker, shifter and some other small bits are making their way back onto the bike. Just a few more things to finish up.

Started to layout a few sets of carbs I have available. The best looking set is the one I bought from “WideAWAKE”, stamped 086A. I believe these would be originals to this bike. Anybody able to confirm? I also have a set of  657A that look almost identical? I have some digging to do to find what jets and needle clip position I need to use for the stock ‘76K set up, unless someone can tell me? Main 115 and slow 35?

Somewhere I have a new set of intake manifold rubbers and a container full of usable clamps. Looking for those next!

Yes 086A is the 76 K6 carbs. The difference between them and 657A and the other roundtops is just the jetting put in at the factory (subject to changed by shops and owners for modifications done) they have the same bodies.
My new to me in December K6 has 086A.

A bit of progress today.

Here’s a laugh. The tach cable wouldn’t push in far enough. Drove in a drywall screw and sure enough, pulled out two seals. Without thinking, pushed in my ONLY new one…… Guess what? There must be another one in there!

perty

Nice looking bike, you shouldn't kick it out of your garage, you got a buffing young rider who one day would love owning such a bike I'm certain...  Might be a while before he appreciates vintage bike, you know youts... (joe pesci, my cousin Vinny). They gotta go fast for a while when they are young and dumb...if they survive they start developing appreciation for finer things
That racing model you have him on should provide lots of go quick enjoyment, let's hope and pray he never develops an affinity for going fast on the street...that can get you killed faster...
But around here riders die weekly on a motorbike and others are hospitalized. Personally, I don't want to survive if I am going to be a quadriplegic or be in a wheelchair, with my neck, highly likely possibility...
I have a DNR order.

How do you put a foot peg through a muffler, have Honda do it they will have that puppy go through a tube in the muffler...so, rather than forcing a passenger from putting their feet above the exhaust where they cook, they have to keep their ankles from roasting in city traffic and in slower than 30...
Bikes have come a long way but some things remain a challenge.
Now you see stainless steel instead of chrome. Aluminum and high heat like some exhausts and it develops into some sketchy stuff. As long as she is properly dressed for a ride, no problem.

Stereo type from male perspective of a woman or girl in the back...

One thing we haven't seen in the Abomination thread is a bike with dual controls for brake and shifting from either front or rear seat...but then you have the question, dual handlebars too?
I did say it was an abomination
Fraught with issues

The JN clip should be in the 4th slot from the blunt end.
The 657a carbs originally had little black plastic covers on the idle screws so you couldn't adjust them more than 1/3 turn (unless you just pulled them off), so they have a 'tall' air adjust screw if the caps are gone. Otherwise they are identical in all things to the 657b series carbs, settings, jets and all.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Had an excellent 18T sprocket and found a lock tab. The “oiler” is screwed down tight and the jam nut is in Loctite too.
